Family Penthouse

For this conceptual project, the President of Greenpeace served as a fictional client and design narrative rather than a real individual, providing a framework to explore the intersection of sustainability, leadership, and domestic life. The penthouse combines a private residence and executive office within a single environment, using clear spatial zoning to separate work and home functions while maintaining visual continuity between them. Inspired by mid-century modern and 1980s interiors, the design emphasizes warmth, natural materials, and geometric balance, while sustainable strategies—including laminated timber flooring, 3D-printed algae glass blocks, VOC-free finishes, greywater recycling, and energy-efficient systems—reflect the environmental values associated with Greenpeace. The project investigates how architecture can support both productivity and wellbeing while translating an organization’s ethos into a functional and cohesive spatial experience.
